Koster Honored as Recipient of BankWest QUEST Award

Congratulations to Bonnie Koster, who was recently honored as a recipient of the BankWest QUEST award.

QUEST, which stands for Quality and Excellence Service Team, is a recognition awarded to BankWest associates who consistently go above and beyond to deliver quality service. Bonnie was nominated for this recognition by her co-workers.

As a Business Banking Assistant for BankWest in Armour, Bonnie is responsible for assisting Business Development Officers with obtaining and verifying loan documentation for business and agricultural loans and helping to ensure loan files are complete.  She helps to make sure the needs of the customers and bank officers are met.  As a Universal Banker for many years, Bonnie also helped customers with the processing of transactions and provided customer service on all types of deposit account needs.

According to one co-worker, “When I think of someone who upholds our core values, Bonnie is someone that I picture as willing to help wherever needed.”

Another co-worker states, “Despite only being in this role for about a year, she has become very knowledgeable in the loan area and offers help anytime someone asks. She has become very proficient in her role in a short time.”

In her free time, Bonnie volunteers at the Lorain Theatre in Armour by taking admission tickets and helping in the concession stand. She is also active in her church, working with the 7th-12th grade Community Youth Group and teaching Sunday School.  She has served as treasurer for the Armour Alumni Association as well as the Armour High School Music Boosters Club and has been actively involved in After Prom Party Committees as well as assisting the Armour High School Athletic Boosters.

Bonnie graduated from Armour High School and then earned her associate degree in accounting from Nettleton College in Sioux Falls. She became a teller at First State Bank in 2005 and stayed there for 11 years. In 2016, BankWest purchased First State Bank and Bonnie continued her banking career working as a Universal Banker. Continuing to advance her career, Bonnie became a Business Banking Assistant in 2022.

Bonnie says: “I am honored to receive this award.  It is such a blessing to be able to work with such a great group of people who are always willing to help each other, our customers, and our communities.  I am very appreciative of all that BankWest does.”

BankWest welcomes Bonnie Koster as the most recent recipient of the QUEST award. With her commitment to excellence and willingness to serve others, she continues to provide exceptional service to BankWest customers as well as to her co-workers.
