Added Security for Mobile/Online Banking
To better protect you and the bank against fraud and security threats, BankWest is adding another layer of security to mobile/online banking. On June 8, 2020, a new service will begin monitoring user behaviors and device details to detect high-risk activity. If high-risk activity is detected, you will be asked to enter a Secure Access Code (SAC).
Examples of high-risk activity include:
- Creating external transfers
- Adding, editing or deleting SAC contact information
- Requesting an address change
- Conducting activities outside normal usage patterns

BankWest Chooses New Check Vendor
On August 1, 2019, Harland Clarke became BankWest’s vendor for customer check orders. Because Harland Clarke doesn’t carry all the same designs as our former vendor, we’ll most likely ask you to choose a new check design with your next check order.
The next time you order checks, please have the last sequence number from your current checks on hand. This is the number printed in the upper right corner of each check blank.
If you currently order your checks through online banking: For your first order with our new vendor, please place the order at a BankWest branch or through our eBanking Center by calling 1-800-253-0362. Once we have your information in the new ordering system, you may resume ordering through the Services tab in online banking.
If you have questions about this change, please visit any BankWest location or give us a call at 1-800-253-0362.

There’s more to BankWest than financial products and services.

BankWest Supports The Community
The ongoing support of our customers allows us to give back to our communities. Without our customers, we could not support hundreds of South Dakota organizations and causes. And our contributions go much further than monetary donations: Our employees pitch in and donate thousands of volunteer hours to charitable causes and organizations.
Pierre Aquatic Center
BankWest officials hope a new, high-tech scoreboard at the Pierre Aquatic Center will help attract new swimming events to the area and assist both athletes and spectators in following the action.
Oahe Habitat for Humanity
A partnership between BankWest and Oahe Habitat for Humanity will transform a large, vacant lot in Fort Pierre into spacious yards and homes for two area families.
Jackson County Library
A donation from BankWest in Kadoka will allow the Jackson County Library to expand its offerings and improve the facility’s look and feel.
