Solano brings extensive financial and leadership experience to his new role, along with strong ties to the Rapid City community.
BankWest is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Solano to Branch Manager for its Rapid City locations.
Solano brings extensive financial and leadership experience to his new role, along with strong ties to the Rapid City community. He joined BankWest in 2022 and has served as a Business Development Officer, specializing in residential and commercial real estate, including acquisition and development.
Prior to joining BankWest, Solano was the Chief Financial Officer for the Rapid City Catholic School System. He earned a bachelor’s in accounting, business administration and entrepreneurial studies from Black Hills State University.
In his new role as Branch Manager, Solano will continue to focus on building strong customer relationships and helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals, while also managing branch operations. He says one of the most rewarding aspects of his work is collaborating with his colleagues to help customers succeed.
“I believe in treating every customer with respect and dignity and providing service that exceeds expectations,” Solano said. “Our goal is to provide personal, professional service that helps our customers achieve success.”
Solano is also active in the Rapid City community. He serves on the board of directors for Rapid City Catholic Schools and a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of South Dakota. He and his wife, Michele, have four children, Jake, Tom, Brianna and Holly.
