PIERRE – BankWest is pleased to announce that Jackson Childs has joined its Trust Department as a Trust Officer in Pierre. Childs earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from Dakota Wesleyan University. He has since continued his education by pursuing a master’s degree through the University of Sioux Falls.

In his role, Childs will work with current and prospective clients interested in trust services, helping individuals and families plan for the future while protecting and managing their financial assets.

“Interacting with clients and hearing their stories and ideas is the most satisfying part of my work,” Childs said. “We help individuals gain and protect their wealth while making their vision for the present and future possible.”

Originally from Mitchell, South Dakota, Childs comes from a family rooted in education. His father serves as superintendent of the Mitchell School District, and his mother is an education professor at Dakota Wesleyan University. His sister recently graduated from Mitchell High School and plans to attend Augustana University.
