Congratulations to Corrie Stephens, who was recently honored as a recipient of the BankWest QUEST award. QUEST, which stands for Quality and Excellence Service Team, is a recognition awarded to BankWest associates who consistently go above and beyond to deliver quality service.

As a Business Development Officer, Corrie is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with commercial banking customers. His position plays a key role in driving business growth by providing financial solutions to a diverse range of clients. With a focus on understanding the unique goals of each business, he works closely with customers to structure services such as credit lines, lending packages, and cash management strategies.

Corrie brings over 30 years of experience to his position. Before joining the BankWest team in 2016, he worked in various financial roles, gaining expertise in ag lending, commercial loans, and insurance. With a clear focus on customer success, Corrie has distinguished himself by going beyond standard service protocols to understand each client’s unique financial landscape.

In a recent BankWest customer satisfaction survey, one customer stated, “Corrie Stephens has been an excellent banker to work with. He addresses my needs and communicates any requirements needed regarding my loans.”

Beyond his professional life, Corrie is actively involved in the Rapid City community, contributing to various local organizations such as the Rapid City Downtown Lions Club, Rapid City Catholic School System, The Journey Museum, Elevate Rapid City, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral Finance Council, and Rapid City Day of Excellence.

Corrie has been married to his wife Angie for 25 years and they have two daughters, Alissa and Macy. In his downtime, Corrie enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing, hiking, racquetball, and smoking meat on his Traeger grill.

Corrie says: “Receiving this award made me pause to reflect on several years of customer service and community service. To me, doing my job well means being available and approachable to my customers. It’s about a willingness to take time to build relationships wherever we find ourselves. I think back through the years of being on boards, coaching, leading service organizations, and volunteering for community projects and I am thankful for being able to have worked for great companies like BankWest that allowed me to be a part of meaningful community causes. Those experiences have formed me into who I am today.”
