Ashley Klaers, was recently honored as a recipient of the BankWest QUEST award.
Ashley Klaers, was recently honored as a recipient of the BankWest QUEST award. QUEST, which stands for Quality and Excellence Service Team, is a recognition awarded to BankWest associates who consistently go above and beyond to deliver quality service.
As a Standardization Manager, Ashley plays a key role in streamlining workflows, developing consistent processes, and optimizing systems. Her work contributes directly to the overall efficiency and performance of the organization. Ashley’s ability to understand and analyze complex processes, along with her talent for translating them into useful procedures, helps co-workers throughout the company remain organized and able to deliver consistent service.
Ashley joined the BankWest team as a part-time teller in 2020 and joined the Project Management team as a Standardization Manager in 2023. A graduate of Dakota State University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in digital arts and design with a specialization in animation and graphic design. With a clear focus on the overall success of the bank, Ashley has distinguished herself by going above and beyond to advocate for improvements that benefit the organization, end users, and her team.
Colleagues describe Ashley as someone who maintains a positive attitude while helping make various systems and processes more manageable for her co-workers. Co-workers admire how she relentlessly works through challenges, exploring every possible solution and leveraging available tools. To them, she is a creative problem solver who pushes past limitations and finds innovative ways to meet company needs. According to one colleague, “Ashley is extremely smart with an incredible work ethic!”
Beyond her professional life, Ashley is actively involved in the Rapid City community by participating in events such as Elevate Rapid City and the Project Management Institute Chapter. She and her husband, Sam, have been married 6 years and have two beloved dogs -- a German Shepherd Husky mix named Opal and a Lab German Shepherd mix named Jet. In her downtime, Ashley enjoys playing online video games with friends, reading the latest horror book, doing a variety of arts and crafts, and exploring local hiking trails with her dogs.
Ashley says: “I’m so thankful for receiving this award and had never thought I’d reach such a goal. I appreciate how supportive BankWest has been in my growth and learning, and the opportunities I’ve been presented through the company. It’s been so amazing being able to work with everyone and experience such a commitment to customer care and community service. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
