Card Controls
With our card controls, you control how, when and where your BankWest debit card is used. Card controls are available through BankWest online banking and our mobile app.

Getting Started with Card Controls
Log in to BankWest online banking or open our mobile banking app. Select Card Controls from the main menu, then choose Card Details. Choose either Card Controls or Alerts and complete enrollment. After enrolling, you will arrive on the screen where you can select the controls you wish to activate.
Visa® Secure Remote Commerce
Simplify paying online. Enroll your BankWest debit card in Visa SRC.
Enrollment in Visa Secure Remote Commerce (SRC) means you no longer have to enter a 16-digit card number, remember passwords, or complete long forms when making online or in-app purchases. Enjoy time-saving digital checking when you see this icon.
If your ATM debit card is lost or stolen
- During regular business hours: Contact the BankWest eBanking Center at (800) 253-0362. Your card number will be “hot carded,” (made ineligible for use) and a replacement card will be ordered.
- Outside regular business hours: Call Visa’s® lost or stolen card center at (800) 236-2442. Here you will be able to cancel the card. However, a replacement card will not be ordered. To order your replacement card, contact the BankWest eBanking Center at 1-800-253-0362 during regular business hours.
- Anytime: Turn your card off using the free card controls in BankWest online banking or our mobile app. If you find your card and are certain it has not been compromised, turn the card back on using the card controls and continue using the card. If you find your card but are not certain your card was not compromised, you do not find your card, or your card is stolen, call our eBanking Center during regular business hours or VISA’s stolen card center if outside our regular business hours.
BW Basic Checking
Our BW Basic Checking has no monthly charge for qualified customers who receive eStatements or meet relationship qualifications. $100 minimum to open.
